On Thursday, December 6 library patrons have the opportunity to double up on holiday cheer as the Kingsley and East Bay Branches of the Traverse Area District Library celebrate their annual Holiday Open Houses.
The Kingsley Friends of the Library will once again host this year's Kingsley Branch Holiday Open House from 3:30 - 7 p.m. The open house will feature Lori Thompson, "The Painted Lady," who will be available to share her beautiful face painting skills during the afternoon. Providing a backdrop of beautiful music will be "Hammer'd" (short for hammer dulcimers), a five-musician group featuring dulcimers, drums, marimbula, and harp. Enjoy delicious refreshments and create some fun holiday crafts too!
Save room for more holiday cheer, and make sure to swing by the East Bay Branch as they celebrate their annual Holiday Open House from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Enjoy beautiful holiday music by Angelo Meli and of course some holiday refreshments to help get you in the spirit.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend each open house event.
