The Drama Collection
The Traverse Area District Library will add The Drama Collection: 250 Quintessential Recorded Plays presented by L.A. Theatre Works, to its lending audiobook collection.

From Sophocles to Sam Shepard, from Romeo and Juliet to A Raisin in the Sun, with a particular focus on the American canon of dramatic literature, this comprehensive collection of classic and contemporary plays on audiobook is a treasure trove for theatre and book lovers, students and teachers, actors and dramatists.

The Drama Collection will be on shelves and available for check out by mid-December.

With the recent extraction of the library's Cassette Book collection, TADL's audiobooks on CD are in high demand.  "We have not reduced the collection in any way, only enhanced it," said Betsy Meyers, TADL librarian responsible for ordering audiobooks on CD.   "I have a feeling patrons will really enjoy The Drama Collection as an addition to our audiobook collection," she said.
