Blind Date with a Book
February 5, 2013 (Traverse City, Mich;) To celebrate Valentine’s Day and Library Lover’s Month, Traverse Area District Library patrons visiting the Main (Woodmere) Branch may check out a “blind date," a wrapped book to take home and enjoy.

The rules are simple: Check out a book, take it home, and unwrap it! That’s it…if you don’t like the book after the first 50 or so pages, just return it and choose another if you’d like to “date” again.

Due to the libary's recent circulation enhancements there is no need to unwrap the book prior to checking out, simply place the book(s) on the express check out machines available at Woodmere and you are all set.

The Blind Date book display is located on the second floor in Adult Reference at the Main (Woodmere) Branch of the Traverse Area District Library.

The Traverse Area District Library (TADL) is a network of community libraries serving Grand Traverse County through the following libraries: Main (Woodmere) Branch, East Bay, and Kingsley Branches, Fife Lake Public Library, Interlochen Public Library, Peninsula Community Library and online at www.tadl.org.
