The first floor, right-front corner, looking thru the building, toward the lake.

This is one of the "staff-use-only" stairways located by the public meeting room.
It is also and emergency exit way.

The "bump" (as the TADL staff refers to it) roofing structure. It's located on the water side (west) and will encase the main stairway as well as some lounge chair reading areas.
I hope that guy isn't acrophobic!

The weather in Michigan is SO unpredictable. El Nino has brought us quite a bit of good weather, but as you see, construction never stops, even in the wintry cold weather.

We're on the reference floor (2nd) looking at the attic up above.

This is the attic space showing the cupola hole on top of the building.

  Looking across the main stairwell, down on the Sight & Sound Center.

  The area jetting out is where the public use "Computer Center" will be.

The 2 holes on the left are for the dual-level bookdrops and the 3rd one is for drive-thru pick-up.

This is the opening to the lower floor, or the "Hole" as the staff refers to it, overlooking circulation.

You are now standing in the Non-Fiction section of Adult Reference.

Walk straight ahead and you'll find a stairway to the first floor.

This is one of the study areas in Adult Reference on the 2nd floor.
