* These
electrical boxes will power the Library. The one in the corner is between 6 and 7
feet tall. They're so tiny in the picture! I'm no electrician, but that is
a lot of pow-ow-ow-er (as Tim Allen would say).
Inside, all kinds of things are happening. Notice the pipes coming
from the floor.
This is some of the framing at circulation -
notice the hole in the first floor roof, just over the circulation area.
You'll notice the framing inside is done with steel studs. There is also some ductwork visible.
These are ducts that will go in the ceiling,
and will be added on the ones hiding on the left corner of the photo,
and the heating/cooling units that go
in the attic.
This is looking down the big ducts, about
2ft high by 4ft long.
See the heating ducts, the wire rolls, and even a door that needs to be set in?
Ok, so let's play Where's Waldo just a
minute. Can you find the ladder? The Sawhorse?

This hallway looks rather spooky. What would be down there?
It actually leads to several rooms including a computer room, staff lounge and processing
department.
The entrance door to the Library For the Blind and
Physically Handicapped *
Video viewing stations located in the
Sight & Sound Department.
This is where you'll see Brown Sugar at Storytime!

You are now standing near the south end of Adult/Young
Adult Services.
(Don't look down if you are afraid of heights!) ***
This is the northside wall of the main
foyer.
Entry and Exit perspective...the circulation desk and childrens' department are along this
wall.
Entry perspective -
- a little more finished.
This is the front entrance section,
as if you were leaving the building.
The block walls are going up on the second floor now. The spaces will be
windows... Bright! : )
*

A public access "computing center" is the area sticking out to the left.

These parts sticking out are the bays for seating.
*
This is the storage area in the attic.
So, we're getting warmer - blueboard!
And . . .the drywall. I can't believe it. Already!! *
