Heirlooms, photographs, papers, and fabrics tell the story of families, but caring for these items can be a nightmare! Librarian Amy Barritt will help you decide what is important, what isn't, and will provide general tips on how to care for all of your valuable family history. This first session is an introduction to preserving your family history. Later sessions will cover photographs and papers, fabrics and three-dimensional objects in more detail. Look forward to attending every session!
If you have and item - heirloom or document - that you have a question about, please bring it and ask Amy for her recommendation about its preservation (limit to one per person due to time restraints).
