This summer we are going to explore anime movies that feature really great sword action. The second one will be InuYasha: Swords of an Honorable Ruler.
Swords of an Honorable Ruler is the third InuYasha movie.
The series InuYasha has 167 episodes. Kagome Higurashi, after being pulled down a well by a demon, finds herself in Sengoku period of feudal Japan, where she learns that a powerful jewel has been reborn inside her body. After the jewel shatters in an attempt to retrieve it from one of the many demons who was after its power, Kagome must join forces with the half-demon Inuyasha (also after the jewel's power) to track down the shards of the jewel before its power falls into the wrong hands.
The movie Swords of an Honorable Ruler follows a powerful sword. Izayoi and Inu no Taishou, Inuyasha's parents, are having problems with a human named Setsuna no Takemaru. Sou'unga, a magical sword that has been sealed away for 700 years, is found. Now everyone is after the sword and its powers but it seems the sword has something else in mind.
The Manga Book Club will discuss the series, and other random things, starting at 6:30; prior to that we take our time wandering in, eating snacks, and hanging out. The anime preview starts at 7:00 PM.
