1st Annual Floyd Milton Webster Prize for History

Sponsored by the Kingsley Friends of the Library and Dennis and Jeanne Webster.

Authors of all ages are encouraged to submit writing based upon original historical research related to a person, place, event, object, or time period of the Kingsley area.

Summer Reading Clubs @ the Kingsley Branch Library!

The Kingsley Branch Library hosts 4 very popular Summer Reading Club programs every year.  Typically, more than 500 babies, kids, teens, and adults participate in the 5 weeks of meeting reading goals, attending fun entertainment events, and winning some great prizes.

Every day across the country, libraries open their doors to everyone: students, parents, seniors, teachers, writers, artists, job seekers, entrepreneurs, readers, gamers, movie lovers and travel buffs.

The challenge:

Read 15 books between March 1st & 31st  (then collect a prize)!

New Puppets Added to TADL Borrowing Collection

The Traverse Area District Library (TADL) has added an additional 200 puppets to its borrowing collection. Puppets are great listeners to read to or you can check-out a couple of puppets for a fun read aloud session! Puppets are available to check out throughout the district for up to 4 weeks.

Since the staff at the Kingsley Branch Library all share a passion for food and cooking they thought it might be fun to share this passion with their patrons. After discovering that a local professional chef was a regular library patron "Simply Delicious Cuisine with Chef Tom" was created and it has been a hit with library patrons.

Kingsley closing at 5:00 due to deteriorating conditions.

We will reopen on Tuesday at 9am.
