Take a Book. Return a Book.
The Little Free Library is a simple concept that was developed by its founder, Todd Bol, in Hudson, Wisc., as a way to honor his mother who had loved books and encouraged people to read. Today there are Little Free Libraries in at least 28 states and six countries including Ghana, Australia and Afghanistan.
The Traverse Area District Library (TADL) sponsored the first registered Little Free Library in Northern Michigan, Charter #0764 located at 228 S. Spruce Street in the Kids Creek Neighborhood in May 2012.
