Fall of Giants is an epic tale with impeccable historic accuracy which presents itself as a daunting task for any reader at well over 1000 pages, but reads almost effortlessly. It is the first installment in the new series by Ken Follett titled The Century Trilogy and follows the entwined lives of five distinctly different families from just before the outbreak of WWI through the Great War, the Russian revolution, and the women’s suffrage movement both at home and abroad. I highly recommend this novel as it captivated my attention by presenting early 20th century history from a variety of international perspectives.
