Storycorps is a national project designed to inspire everyday people to share their stories orally. You can listen to stories from Storycorps on your local NPR radio station as part of Morning Edition on Friday mornings. The Storycorps project includes stories from a wide variety of topics, but the stories printed in this short, quick, heartwarming read center on the theme of love. Each vignette is just a few pages long, making this the kind of book one can pick up for a few minutes at a time, or read cover to cover in a matter of a couple of hours.
