TADL - Wireless Networking

NEWS: February 3, 2006 - Wireless access now available at the Peninsula Public Library's temporary location at Peninsula Market!

Patrons can use TADL's wireless network at the following library locations:

• Woodmere (Main) Branch - 610 Woodmere Ave, Traverse City MI
• Interlochen Public Library - 9700 Riley Rd, Interlochen MI
• Kingsley Public Library - 104 S Brownson Ave, Kingsley MI
• East Bay Branch Library - 1989 Three Mile Rd, Traverse City MI
• Fife Lake Public Library - 137 W State St, Fife Lake MI
• Peninsula Community Library - 14111 Center Rd, Traverse City MI (temporary location)

Use of the Library's wireless network is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy.

TADL maintains a map of free wireless hotspots in the Grand Traverse area.

What is it?

• Wireless Internet access
• Anywhere in the building
• Conduct research online
• Check your e-mail
• And more!

What do I need?

• A computer (laptop, PDA, etc)
• A supported "Wi-Fi" card (IEEE 802.11b or 802.11g)

How do I use it?

• Turn on your computer and enable your wireless card.
• Connect to the network named "tadl-patron-wireless" (your computer may do this for you automatically).
• Open a web browser and you should be redirected to http://wireless.in.tcnet.org/
• Read and acknowledge our Acceptable Use Policy.

What if I don't have a computer with a wireless interface?

No problem! Simply stop in and ask to use one of our Public Computing Workstations!
