TADL - Wireless Networking

Details and Troubleshooting

The Library provides wireless Internet access for patrons to use with their own laptop computer. This wireless connection is available anywhere in the building, and allows you to use your laptop's wireless interface to conduct research online, check your e-mail, and more!

Details

You need a computer (or PDA, etc) equipped with a supported "Wi-Fi" card. Supported cards are those using the IEEE 802.11b or 802.11g standards. IEEE 802.11a is NOT supported.

Troubleshooting

TADL staff can NOT provide technical assistance with personal computers.

The following troubleshooting steps are general steps for common operating systems.

Please consult the documentation that came with your operating system or your wireless card for more specific troubleshooting steps.
