Form Your Teams for the 2nd Annual Adult Spelling Bee

Don’t you just LOVE Spelling Bees?

Remember the anticipation, the adrenaline and exhilaration of the spelling bee from your childhood days?  Well, forget those traumatic memories and join us for the Second Annual Adult Spelling Bee on Sunday, May 7 @ 2:00 p.m. in the McGuire Community Room of the TADL Main Library.

The Traverse Area District Library and Grand Traverse County Parks and Recreation Senior Center Network are once again partnering to help you (and a couple of friends) relive that childhood rush when you participate in For The Spell Of It,  An Adult Spelling Bee. This event is for adults age 50 and older.

Looking for something with even less pressure? Come and cheer on the spelling bee participants in the audience and help us make this a fun event!

The First Place Winners of the 2016 For the Spell Of It spelling bee, the “Hard Scrabblers” team consisted of Cheri, Stephanie, and Sharon. They held tough until the end of Round 18 by correctly spelled the winning word: SYCOPHANCY.
