2018 Summer Reading Club

The 2018 Summer Reading Club is June 18-July 30, 2018 (six weeks)

Our theme this year is:

Readers of all ages can sign up at any library location either in person or online to participate in the fun. There will also be some creative programming for all ages from infants to senior citizens. Signing up to participate will also qualify you to pickup a “rock tour inspired” tee-shirt, to be distributed during the first week of reporting (June 18). There will also be other weekly prizes and incentives to recognize your reading time.

To add to the fun this year, we have set a District-wide goal of two-million minutes read!

Beginning June 18 through July 30, anyone (from infants to senior citizens) can participate and keep track of your daily or weekly reading minutes. Simply report your weekly reading online or at any library location. Each person should try to read 100 minutes each week, even though we know a lot of you will read a lot more than that!

Readers of all ages will record their reading in minutes. At the end of the program, everyone who reported at least 600 minutes will be entered into a grand prize drawing based on their group. The groups will be pre-readers, readers, teens, and adults.

We will have a variety of programs for all ages that support our summer reading program and encourage participation. Plus, each week there will be a prize drawing for all teens and adults that participated. Youth will receive a prize weekly when they stop in to report at the library.

Thank you to our 2018 Sponsors for their support!
