TADL celebrates International Games Week

International Games Week is a worldwide initiative to reconnect communities through their libraries around the educational, recreational, and social value of all types of games. This year, International Games Week is November 3-9, 2019.

The Traverse Area District Library (TADL) invites you to come play a game from our collection. Tons of games have been added recently, so come check it out. Enjoy an old favorite board game or learn something new. TADL also offers video games, for many popular game systems, that you can checkout to play at home.

During this week, the Teen Services department is offering daily activities. On Friday, November 8, the Youth Services department is hosting a special after-hours Family Game Night. A full list of these events at the Main Library is provided below.

Sunday, November 3:  Open Board Game Day  (Noon – 5:00 p.m.)

Monday, November 4:  Digital Escape Room – Get Me Home if You Can  (6:00 – 8:00 p.m.)

Tuesday, November 5:  Colleen’s Mystery Board Game (6:00 – 8:00 p.m.)

Wednesday, November 6:  Story War party game (6:00 -8:00 p.m.)

Thursday, November 7:  Video Game night in the McGuire Community Room (6:30 – 8:30 p.m.)

Friday, November 8:  Drop-in 8-bit perler bead craft (all day)

Friday, November 8:  Family Game Night in Youth Services (6:30 – 8:00 p.m.)

Saturday, November 9:  Drop-in 8-bit perler bead craft (all day)
