Clutter vs. Hoarding

April 29 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm| Main Library (Traverse City)

All of us have a bit of a hoarder in us or at least know someone who does. It can take over your life and make you feel like you are out of control. Millions of people suffer from the frustration and embarrassment that this can cause. The symptoms vary from individual to individual, but anyone who feels that they need help more than they need to keep the clutter can get help beating the problem.

There’s a difference between clutter and hoarding, and nationally recognized attorney, social worker, life coach, therapist and hoarder expert Terrence Shulman will discuss some of the differences between clutter, chronic disorganization and a hoarding disorder. Join us for a thought-provoking interactive presentation on hoarding. You will learn what hoarding is and isn’t, what causes it, and how to best address and treat it.

Terrence Daryl Shulman, JD,LMSW,ACSW,CAADC,CPC is the Founder/Director of The Shulman Center for Compulsive Theft, Spending & Hoarding in Franklin, MI.
