Event Navigation

The holidays are a time for family and friends to gather together and share stories. The Traverse Area District Library (TADL) and Interlochen Public Radio (IPR) are teaming up to help you learn to record these family histories.

On Tuesday, December 5, at 7:00 pm in the McGuire Community Room IPR Executive Director, Peter Payette, will give an introduction to interview techniques for oral histories using audio recorders. Peter will cover the basics of using your smart phone and other digital recording devices to get the best results when recording interviews with your family members and neighbors.

TADL Sight & Sound Department Head, Aaron Olson, will also introduce the newest library lending kit: The Zoom H4n Pro Digital Audio Recorder.

(Zoom H4n Pro Digital Recorder)

Library staff will be available to answer questions about the lending kits, assist with reservations to take this new lending resource home, or to help place your name on the hold list. Remember to bring your TADL Library card. All normal TADL AV Equipment lending policies apply for the equipment.
