It’s All About the Honeybees!
June 26 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm| Main Library (Traverse City)Free
Honeybees are very important to our food supply. One third of the world’s food production is depends on bees. That is a lot of pressure for something so little! Please join us as Greg Griswold and Therese Povolo from Champion Hill Farm in Beulah who will talk about the importance this flying insect, their beauty and how they benefit us. There will be a storytime showcasing their book, It’s All About the Honeybees, an observation hive to check out the bees at work and lots of time for questions!
Join us on the front lawn of the Main Library for this in person event. Bring a towel or blanket to sit on for the event.
Don’t forget this is the opening week of the Summer Reading Club, Tails and Tales. This is the perfect collaborating event, a book reading (tale) and learn about Honeybees and their “tail”. See you there!
**In regards to COVID protocols: For this event, even though it is outside, masks must be worn at all times unless sitting in a marked circle with your family for the presentation or storytime. Once you get up and move around, masks must be worn.
