Notice: This event has been cancelled.

Teens are invited to attend an o-chakai (tea gathering) at the Traverse Area District Library to experience an authentic Japanese tea ceremony.

O-Chakai, Tea Gathering:

Teens will enjoy a traditional tea sweet, followed by a bowl of hot, frothy, richly flavored usucha (matcha) green tea. It is traditional to take tea from a kneeling position, but seats can be available for those who are unable to sit on their knees.
