Linda Szarkowski, a chef, teacher and coach of plant-based eating, is passionate about showing people that healthy food can also be the best tasting. She has been on a self-taught quest for healthy living for decades and has backed it up with certifications in the Benefits of Raw Food Nutrition, Chef and Instructor from the Living Light Culinary Institute in Ft. Bragg, CA, and Living Foods Educator from the Living Foods Institute in Atlanta, GA. Linda has been a chef at the award-winning Chicago Diner and helped to open a raw restaurant, Beets Cafe in Austin TX, prior to starting her packaged raw food meals business, Green Spirit, in Chicago. She has inspired many people to adopt healthier eating with her classes and motivating talks that encourage change but not perfection. Linda has been a featured chef at VeganMania and the Taste of Chicago, where she was delighted to share her love of raw food with a diverse audience. Linda is excited to now bring her knowledge and skills to Traverse City.
