This web page is updated frequently with new information for volunteers. Currently we are seeking enthusiastic, detail oriented, adult volunteers for the following areas:
TADL Ambassadors Greet patrons, provide directional information, assist patrons with express checkout stations (ongoing)
Friends of the Library: Volunteers are needed to help with annual used book sales and the Gift Shop. We are also looking for prospective Friends Board Members.
Local History Digitization Volunteer: This volunteer position is responsible for scanning and uploading historical photos to TADL’s local history website as part of a digitization process to preserve and collect the history of the Region.This position reports to TADL’s Adult Services Reference Department and may work collaboratively with the local history online exhibit volunteer.
Talking Book Library Ambassador: Ambassadors are needed to attend community events such as the Senior Expo and Health Fairs as well as network with community leaders and organizations outside of the Grand Traverse area to spread the word about
Talking Book Library services. As a TBL Ambassador, you would work side by side with TBL staff to help enhance outreach to eligible patrons within Grand Traverse County and the 7 other Counties served.
