Delays & Closures: Tuesday March 17

For the safety of library staff, cardholders, and those serving our community during the winter storm, TADL is announcing the following service hour changes at this time:

  • Delayed - Opening at Noon (12 pm):

    • Main Library - Woodmere Ave.

    • East Bay Branch Library

    • Kingsley Branch Library

    • Fife Lake Public Library

    • Interlochen Public Library

Peninsula Community Library - Closed

Libraries scheduled for delayed openings may close as conditions dictate. Please check this website regularly for any additional service hour impacts that may be a result of the winter storm. Any item due dates affected by the closures will be extended.

Event Details

Families are invited to learn the basics about drones from Dont'e Kelly of DKDrones. Learn how to get started, the right drone for your age range, parent resources, safety tips for kids and parents, and guidelines for Jr. pilots. Goodie bags will be available for the first 15 youth and we'll also do a drawing at the end of the program for a free drone from Dont'e (must be present to win).

Dont'e has been piloting drones since 2012. Dont'e holds a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (or "drone license") and has experience in sectors from solar enegry to commercial real estate to construction, music and beyond.
