Event Details

Northwestern Michigan College (NMC), the Traverse Area District Library (TADL), and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore will join together to simulcast and celebrate these first images from NASA's new James Webb Space Telescope, bringing the excitement of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) discovery to our region. The free program will include both in-person and online viewing options. Dr. Jerry Dobek, Head of Sciences at NMC, will be our regional host and moderate a Q&A via the following link: https://youtu.be/UtZD4kDAq-s

Doors open at 9:45 a.m. for in-person viewings at TADL Main and The Dennos Museum.

Families are invited to pick up craft kits from the Youth Services department to help celebrate this historic event.
