The League of Women Voters – Grand Traverse Area will be hosting a candidate forum for the Traverse City
Mayor and City Commission candidates on September 23, 2025, 6:00pm-7:40pm at the Main Traverse Area
Public Library at 610 Woodmere, Traverse City MI 49686 in the McGuire Room. This forum will present
candidates who are on the November 4, 2025 election ballots.


The forum for the City Commission candidates will be from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. The forum for the mayoral
candidates will be from 7:10pm to 7:40pm.


This event is presented to give citizens of this area an opportunity to hear and see the candidates, to learn
about their qualifications for this public office, and their reasons for seeking it. It gives the candidates an
opportunity to explain to the public how they would deal with the issues facing Traverse City.
