**EVENT TIME CHANGE. NOW STARTING AT 4:30 P.M.**

Join us each Wednesday during the Summer Library Challenge for hands on, science-y fun with science education organizations and groups from our region. This week, we learn about Citizen Science with our friends from the Grand Traverse Conservation District

Participants will get an up close look at what it takes to be a citizen scientist! We will put together our own mini citizen science kit (TP roll binoculars, journals and identification guides) and explore the surrounding TADL grounds for pollinators visiting flowering plants. After, we will talk about what we saw and record our observations. This program will introduce the Citizen Science project: Observing Pollinators - Identify and count pollinators as they visit flowering plants.

This program is best suited for children ages 6 - 12.
