A creative tool and research method that uses photography and storytelling to a particular population's perspective on an issue.
Used to encourage positive change within communities and educate decision makers.

This photo reminds me of my inner self because if I were in a cocoon I may feel like I can't come out of my shell. I may feel different because of my disabilities. When I do things like singing or looking at birds, I break out of my shell. Then people look past my disabilities and treat me normal. I may be small but I can do whatever a tall person can do."

We all need someone who cares about us. It doesn't matter what we look like out on outside, but it matters what we are on the inside.

I feel understood and included using public transportation to get to places. It is really good access for people with disabilities. They have things we can use like a reduced fare card. It makes me feel included by being able to go out into the community.

The older sign enforces the stigma surrounding those who use a wheelchair. It shows them as static or helpless, which is not true. The new sign showcases motion and movement reminding me that I shouldn't make further assumptions about a person's ability just because they utilize different tools for transportation.

Help? Some people assume that people in wheelchairs always need help. Sometimes I can do it by myself. So be sure to ask me.

What speaks to me about this photo is that with my "eye see mode" I can talk to other people at equal eye level. And this makes me feel like smiling.

In order to move in life I am dependent on electricity. I believe this is important for more than just me. We all need something to get us through.
