The two buttons below are for the Michigan Secretary of State online registration system.
There are several ways to register to vote:
- Register online with a Michigan driver’s license or state ID
- Register by Mail
- Register in person at a Secretary of State branch office, at your village, city or township clerk’s office or your county clerk’s office, at any state agency that provides public assistance or services to people with disabilities, or through a voter registration drive.
- You can register at any time up to 8 p.m. on Election Day at your city or township clerk’s office.
- If you are eligible, you will be automatically pre-registered or registered to vote anytime you complete a Michigan license or ID transaction with the Secretary of State, unless you opt out.

- As a registered Michigan voter, you have the right to bring an interpreter with you to the polls. In some southern Michigan townships, they have language options for your ballot.
- If you do not read or write English and a ballot is not available in your language, you have the right to assistance from anyone you choose. However, the person cannot be your employer, an agent of your employer, or an officer or agent of your labor union
