Come explore the enchanting world of picture books at our Mock Caldecott storytimes. TADL Youth librarians have selected twelve books that we think are good contenders for the Caldecott award. Come once, twice or all three weeks in a row to hear some of the selections. From the twelve choices, you'll be able to vote on the one you think should win the medal.
The Caldecott Medal is like the Oscars for picture books! It's awarded annually by the American Library Association to the illustrator of the most distinguished American picture book for children. This year the award will be presented on January 22, 2024.
