Adventure Begins at Your Library!

In celebration of our Summer Reading program and theme, join us every Tuesday mid-June through the end of July for a live journey through another country and culture. Get a passport stamp each time you "travel" with us. Show us your full passport at the final evening event on July 30 to receive a "thank you" gift.

For the last trip of this summer, our guide Leanne will show us some of the gardens, statues, and architecture of Melbourne, Australia. Highlights will include Cook's Cottage - the oldest house in Australia in the Fitzroy Gardens, the Old Treasury Building where gold was stored during the 1850s Gold Rush, the Monster Petition sculpture honouring the introduction of the rights of women to vote and sit in parliament, and the Legend of Fire mural which depicts the ongoing battle between fire and water, the two biggest local natural disaster threats.

If you need to armchair travel with us from home, please use this link to register for the Zoom event for this date.
